Clan Tent Cavaliers.
This has been a point of irritation since a change in standing rules came to my attention. It is the men and women who man the clan tents at Highland games that are the backbone and life blood of this organization. Most of us work without recognition or reward. The information at our clan tents comes from the our own researches, has been given to us a legacy from other clan members or has been purchased at our expense. The very tents we use are usually purchased by the persons using them.
If it were not for the people manning the tents, there would be few if any new members paying dues. It is these few people who give a face and feel to the organization. It is the person in the clan tents who hand out the information about our society and its goals. It is these people that the officers of this organization should take at least a few minutes each year to thank and find out what can be done to further the plans of this organization.
In an effort to get the message across, I would suggest that Clan Representatives take a moment to cut and paste just the questions to another message and answer them. I think the answers will speak for themselves.
