Visiting Nova Scotia/Seeking Pointers

I'm visiting Nova Scotia the week before GMHG this year and would like to go by the MacDougall Cairn. Spending two nights in Baddeck, which I think may be in the right area but would appreciate anyone passing along directions to the cairn site.

Also, if anyone has advice on places that are 'must see' while in Baddeck and/or Halifax, please let me know. The only things that are on my schedule for certain right now are the Tattoo my second night in Halifax and the hotel bookings in the two towns.
